Πώς πήγε η συνέντευξη;
First of all I would like to say, I am not an employee of the company as a disclaimer. Their recruiter approached me on LinkedIn in May of 2021. After an initial talk that was held remotely - due to Covid19- it took 1+ month to get an second interview (14th of May - 18th of June). The second interview was held on 22nd of June when I had the chance to discuss with a member of their Greek SAP team and their manager in Chicago. The feedback was positive overall. After a couple of days I got invited for a third interview on 29th of June. This time the interview was held solely by the manager. We discussed what the job requirements where and whether I could fulfill them and by the end of the call, he stated that their HR manager will be contacting me in order to make the job offer. That was on 29th of June. A couple of days passed without an answer and admittedly I got a bit anxious, since I was asked about current professional commitments that would deter me from beginning to work on July. At this point two weeks passed by without any news. Considering it's the summer vacation period, I waited a bit longer and finally on 14th of July I sent an email asking for clarification as to what happened. Two more weeks went by and on 27th of July I got an automated rejection email from the HR manager. Subsequently, I sent yet another email - asking the obvious - and got in return an apology email by their manager stating that due to internal policies related issues I won't be considered any longer valid as a candidate. Wow! It took them quite literally 2.5 months to reject me. That was a first. To be frank, I lost July in its entirety because they didn't bother to inform me in a timely manner I won't be getting the job. As a result I didn't schedule any interviews or sent any CVs, expecting their job offer - and offer that never came.

General questions about SAP Basis (how to patch a kernel, what procedures I was acquainted with, what sort of systems I have worked with etc., salary expectations.

The position was in Athens, but due to personal reasons I asked to work remotely. I let every person involved know of my situation and even went as far as to say I had to future or immediate plans to relocate. I said so to 3 different people and they all agreed. They even offered a plan to visit Athens every once in a while to meet with the team.

Along the lines of constructive criticism to the company: Please fix your internal procedure when it comes to hiring. I lost time and possibly money and work opportunities I won't get back. Please be honest with the candidates and make sure to inform them in time of your decision.

To the candidates: Please make sure to ask for feedback in case it's not provided. Don't wait like I did. Make sure to contact with the HR or the person/people that held the interview.
