Production Director (Based in Thessaloniki)

Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, a Leader Manufacturing Company, for a dynamic professional to cover the following position:
                                                                                   Production Director (based in Thessaloniki)
JOB DESCRIPTION
•    Planning and organizing and the production schedule for the job.
•    Implementing and controlling the production schedule.
•    Ensures the proper application of health and safety rules in the workplace as determined by legislation and by the company's internal regulations.
•    Elaborates, presents and implements the maintenance budget
•    Actively participates in the development and implementation of the fixed investment program
•    Ensuring the proper application of product quality and safety rules and policies
•    Manages the human resources of his department by applying company policies.
•    Monitoring and reviewing the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement when needed
•    Elaborates and assigns work and activity programs with the aim of optimally utilizing the skills of existing staff
•    Manage and control production budgets
•    Implementing cost control programs
•    Ensuring the efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management
CANDIDATE PROFILE
•    AEI or TEI degree in (engineering), business administration, finance or any other related discipline.
•    At least 10 years’ experience in industrial technology
•    At least 10 years’ experience in a similar position, in a related industry.
•    Excellent knowledge of raw materials, quality systems and standards.
•    Excellent knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance.
•    Excellent knowledge of business, finance and management principles.
•    At least 8 years of experience as a plant manager or production manager is a must.
•    Experience in improvement techniques, production and manufacturing processes.
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
•    Culturally awareness, creativity, organization with managing capabilities and cooperative person with team spirit
•    Entrepreneurial, goal oriented and self-motivated.
•    Reliable and trustworthy with strong business ethics.
•    IT proficient (Excel, Word and Power Point).
•    Fluent in English
