ROLE SUMMARY

The Tester is a member of the Clinical Supply Distribution Solutions organization. The mission of the Clinical Supply Distribution Solutions team is to help bring medicines to patients through the delivery of impactful and sustainable technology solutions for the Global Clinical Supply Chain functions of Pfizer by providing the talent for technology planning, project execution and application development excellence.

The Tester is responsible for developing the test strategy (test plan) for each software release. Once the plan is completed, the Tester will oversee the production of all applicable test scripts and shall ensure full mapping from test scripts to functional requirements to ensure all application functionality is properly tested. The Tester will also identify regression test scripts, where applicable, to ensure that other key application functionality is still operating as expected and as not been impacted through the development of new functionality. The Tester will also coordinate User Acceptance Testing activities with the business team members. Upon completion of test activities, the Tester will ensure all defects are properly documented and dispositioned, and that a test summary is drafted, reviewed, and approved.

Key responsibilities include directing and participating in testing activities, monitoring, evaluating testing performance, and designing and implementing the test strategy. This position will partner with project leadership, other Pfizer Digital service providers, and business team members. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in team environment with Pfizer colleagues as well as vendor partners.
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Provides testing oversight to ensure the quality and maintenance of existing production systems.
  • Responsible for the creation, review, approval, and execution for all test scripts and testing deliverables.
  • Ensures test traceability to design and/or requirements.

    • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree.
  • 5+ years of experience with an emphasis on application testing and verification activities.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong capabilities developing and executing test scripts
  • Demonstrated capabilities in understanding information systems
  • Good understanding non-functional and functional requirements and designing a test strategy to ensure the system fulfills the requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical writing / documentation
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.

    • Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering, Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other engineering discipline.
