MAIN BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:Reporting to the Manager of European Hardware Operations, the Hardware Specialist will work as part of the European Fleet Complete Operations team. Main role is to make sure the Telematics devices Fleet Complete supports in the field function properly, by supporting device firmware, configuration and running device diagnostics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for firmware, configuration and diagnostics of Fleet Complete Telematics devicesCreating functional and technical specifications for new hardware project deliverablesDesign and development of new capabilities of Fleet Complete Telematics devicesOperational second line hardware supportOperational second line installation support REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplineProven Experience in professional engineering in either GSM/GPS/Telematics or Computer engineeringUnderstanding of vehicle to cloud connectivity via: APN, VPN, TCP/IP, etc.Exposure to hardware interfaces and configuration developmentGood understanding of Cellular modems, phone apps, and associated technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE).
